Elementary Tutor

iGuide Academy is looking for committed and passionate part time Tutors/Teachers qualified to teach students from grade 1 to 12. This tutoring job is for in-person and online tutoring in the center. Classes are usually from Monday to Thursday from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM and/or Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM.  If you are looking for a rewarding and challenging work environment, we want to hear from you!

Ideal candidate for the position should possess the following skills:

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Helping students to set goals for themselves and motivating them to achieve those goals with praise and rewards
• Creating, conducting and grading realistic practice tests and providing feedback on student performance
• Distributing informative study guides and other teaching materials
• Recording information about students or groups of students and making notes about their lesson plans and progress.

Ideal candidate for the position should possess the following:

• Ontario Certified Teacher is an asset.
• University Graduate with experience in either teaching or tutoring.
• Previous experience working with students is an asset
• Excellent English oral and written skills.
• Passionate to help students reach their full potential.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask.
• Ability to teach groups of up to 3 students.

• Weekdays Evening Shift: Monday to Thursday (4.30 PM to 8.30 PM)
• Weekend Day Shift: Saturday (10.00 AM to 1.30 PM)
