Grade 9 Math (MTH1W) Tutoring at iGuide Academy
At iGuide Academy, our Grade 9 Math Tutoring Program is designed to do more than just help students keep up — we help them get ahead with confidence. Whether your child needs to strengthen foundational skills, prepare for the EQAO, or get ready for in-class assessments and exams, our program offers the guidance, structure, and encouragement they need to thrive.
We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Our certified and experienced tutors understand that every student learns differently. That’s why, we provide a welcoming, small-group or one-on-one environment where students receive individual attention, customized lessons, and consistent support.
Our small-group and one-on-one sessions are available in person at our North York location and online for your convenience.
Course Outline
Our program follows the latest Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum. Here’s what your child will master:
Unit 1: Number Sense & Numeracy
Unit 2: Linear Relations & Analytic Geometry
Unit 3: Algebra & Expressions
Unit 4: Equations in Context
Unit 5: Measurement & Geometry
Unit 6: Introduction to Coding & Financial Literacy (as per 2021 curriculum update)
Each unit includes guided instruction, practice questions, and real-world examples to help students understand and apply mathematical concepts with confidence.
We also integrate EQAO-style practice, exam review strategies, and ongoing homework help to ensure your child feels confident in the classroom and beyond.
How Our Program Works

We begin with a complimentary diagnostic to identify your child’s current level, learning style, and gaps. From there, we create a customized learning plan aligned with their school curriculum and goals.
2. Expert Instruction
Lessons are taught by Ontario-certified educators and experienced math tutors. We break down complex concepts with clear explanations, real-world examples, and interactive problem-solving.
3. Practice & Progress Tracking
Students receive structured homework, regular check-ins, and quizzes to reinforce learning. We closely monitor growth to adjust instruction when needed.
4. Exam Prep & EQAO Readiness
We help students to prepare for their EQAO and school exams by providing mock tests and stress free review sessions, enabling them to tackle these exams with confidence and strategies that work.
